Air along with dust can create a work environment that might be unpleasant and even hazardous. By controlling in plant & environment pollution, our proprietary bag filters have helped process plants in complying with the regulation of pollution control boards. Further, occupational hazard can be reduced with these systems.
Working Principle of Bag filter:
Air and dust particles under suction or pressure enter the hopper of the bag filter, i.e. the lower portion
The air travels through the filter bag, thereby retaining the dust particles on surface of the bag. On the other hand, the clean air passes out through bags and plenum to the outlet of Bag filter
Dust is collected on the outer surface of the bag filter
Accumulation of dust on bags leads to an increase in the differential pressure across the filter bags. Compressed air is pulsed by a timer actuated series of normally closed pulse valves at preset intervals, thereby resulting in the opening of valves
A transient rush of high- pressure air (4-5 bar) flows from the compressed air header to the blow tube and is expelled from the blow tube via nozzles at a high velocity (primary air flow). A secondary airflow is induced by the air from each nozzle. The combined effect of the primary and induced secondary air causes an instantaneous pressure rise on the clean side of the filter bags, thereby leading to a reverse flow air through the filter bags, resulting in the dust particles held on the outer surface of the bags being dislodged
By this mechanism, the dust that’s collected is released from the bags and falls into the hopper. Moreover, the differential pressure is controlled across the Filter Bags
It is discharged through suitable device i.e. Rotary valve, from this hopper
Continuous flow through the bag filter at rated capacities is assured, as only a fraction of the total filter area of the bag filter is cleaned at any particular time
