Shakespeare will have to give the performance of his life in order to save the Earth 3 GRIDLOCK The Doctor returns to a much grittier New Eartwith Marthato meet the Face of Boe one final time. But as New New Yorkbecomes a deadly trap, the streets are deserted except for shady Pharmacists. The Doctor and Martha must brave the ordeal of the mysterious Motorway in order to discover the terrible secrets at the heart of the city.      4 DALEKS IN MANHATTAN In New York 1930 in the midst of the Depression people are disappearing: the homeless, the poor, the starving and huddled masses. Savage pig creatures hide in the sewers, and at the bottom of the Empire State Building some of the Doctor's greatest and oldest enemies, the Cult of Skaro, are at work, preparing their most horrific plan yet 5 EVOLUTION OF THE DALEKS The Cult of Skaro's plan is in full force. Sec is reborn in a half-humanform, and the Pig Slaves launch an enormous assault upon the Central Park Hooverville along with the remaining pure Daleks. The Doctor Martha Solomon and the others must fight for their lives, while the future of humans and Daleks alike is being decided underneath the Empire State Building 6 THE LAZARUS EXPERIMENT Earth, London, present day. The Doctor, Martha and her family attend a scientific demonstration by the aged Professor Lazarus. But when the experiment goes wrong, a horrific product of genetic manipulation is unleashed, leaving a trail of death in its mission to live indefinitely. Meanwhile the wheels of a deadly trap are set in motion. 7 42 A spaceship hurtles out of control towards a boiling sun. The Doctorhas 42 minutes to uncover the saboteurs, but with a mysterious force starting to possess and murder the ship's crew, the Doctor and Marthaare running out of time. 8 HUMAN NATURE England, 1913. But when John Smith refuses to accept his destiny as a Time Lord, the women in his life — Martha and Joan — have to help him decide. 10 BLINK In an old, abandoned house, the Weeping Angels wait, as Russell T Davies's Doctor Who continues. However, when people start disappearing, a young woman called Sally finds cryptic messages bleeding through from 1969 – messages from a mysterious stranger called the Doctor. But can she decipher them before the Angels claim their prize? David Tennant plays the Doctor and Freema Agyeman plays his companion, Martha Jones. Carey Mulligan guest stars. 11 UTOPIA The TARDIS lands in Cardiff to refuel from the Rift. The Doctor states that this will only take twenty seconds (in contrast to his previous visit), noting that theRifthas been active recently Captain Jack Harkness races towards the TARDIS, grabbing onto it during dematerialisation and causing the TARDIS to hurtle out of control to the end of the Universe. After landing in the year 100 trillion on the planet Malcassairo the Doctor and Martha find Jack, apparently dead from traveling through the vortex — who quickly revives. After confronting the Doctor about his abandonment on Satellite 5 he desperately asks the Doctor about Rose Tyler's fate, saying that he saw her name on the list of the dead. 12 THE SOUND OF DRUMS The Doctor, Martha and Jack materialize in a London alleyway, having used Jack's Vortex Manipulator, repaired by the Doctor, to escape the Futurekind in the year 100 trillion. Seeing 'Vote Saxon' posters everywhere, and Saxon himself on a giant TV screen, the Doctor and Martha realize that the new Prime Minister, the mysterious 'Mr Saxon', is the Master. In 10 Downing Street, the Master speaks briefly with Tis Jones who is unsure of her duties in her new job there. Next he enters the newly rebuiltcabinet room. After calling the cabinet members traitors, because they abandoned their parties to join his electoral bandwagon, he puts on a gas mask and activates jets of poisonous gas. As the cabinet collapses, the Master beats his hand on the table, drumming out a four-beat rhythm 13 LAST OF THE TIME LORDS One year later, the human race has been turned into a slave race, building hundreds of thousands of rockets to launch the Master's war against the rest of the universe.
