Rolls Royce Flying Lady

This is a fabulous Rolls Royce Flying Lady mascot from a 1911 Silver Ghost Rolls Royce.Made by the  famous  sculptor CharlesS.Sykes in 1911.The base is inscribed "ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED fEB 6th 1911".It was made by a method known as "the lost-wax method".Used over a Thousand years which explains why there are no two figures the same as the mould's have to be destroyed to reveal the casting.The Model for the figure, was the lover of the Aristocrat  Lord John Walter Edward-Scott ,a Miss Eleanor Velasco Thornton who was his secretary at the time.A really unique item an absolute must forevery ROLLS-ROYCE collector
