Financial Controller / Finance Manager

  Location:  Harrow - Middlesex

Essential Requirement Minimum 2 years experience working in a significant financial function. Experience in liaising with Senior Management. ACCA, CIMA Professional stage or passed finalist Two years experience of managing staff. Experience of producing management accounts, Vat returns, Year end accounts. Proven competence in the use of computerised financial ledgers. Exceptional IT Skills ( Excellent knowledge of Excel and accounting packages) Desirable Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA. The Role Principal Duties and Responsibilities General Manage and develop the finance team members. Support the Managing Director and other members of the Management Team on adhoc projects eg. Sage, projects, new investments. POP and SOP Reporting for 2 seasons a year Financial Records To be responsible on a day to day basis for the keeping of proper accounting records that captures all receipts and payments of the business and its concessions. Maintaining tight credit control procedures in all aspects of the business, to ensure smooth cash flows. To ensure that company’s accounting systems are maintained and developed to meet its growing needs. To ensure the payroll function is run effectively. Internal Financial Reporting To lead and improve on the preparation of high quality management accounts. To lead and improve on the preparation of the annual budget. Constantly review the quality and clarity of management information and financialsystems and procedures to meet the changing requirements and future needs of the business and target audience, and ensure that best practice is communicated across the Group to increase efficiency and effectiveness. External financial Reporting To play the lead role in the production of annual financial statements, in accordance with accounting requirements. Preparation of Quarterly VAT Returns Preparation of Monthly Intrastat declarations To liaise with the external auditors to ensure the annual audit is conducted to timetable.
