Price: 6000 ONO Year: 1966 Make: Volkswagen Model: split screen crew cab Trim: Crew Cab Mileage: Engine: Petrol Colour: beige/burgundy Description: LHD German-built split crew cab, just imported by ourselves from South America, which has been  part-restored (body, chassis, paint and interior mostly done) All the UK import duties and VAT have been paid, but it's not MOT'd or registered.   It will need to complete the mechanical restoration including a complete overhaul of the braking, steering and suspension systems. There is also a small dent to the centre of the front bumper.   Although we've not had the engine running yet, it has had a partial rebuild and many new parts fitted already. New starter motor fitted - its a runner! The carburettor is new, as are the pushrod tubes and many gaskets etc.   The bus is generally very straight and solid and would make a nice easy project for someone who has neither the time or knowledge to carry out a total 'ground-up' restoration.   As the vast majority of the body and underside restoration has already been completed in South America to a decent standard, a lot of the hard work has already been done. The pickup bed is straight and original. The interior has been retrimmed to a good standard and needs only finishing.   More pictures and info available on request.
