WE TAKE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS VERY SERIOUSLY and are very experienced at representing clients in relation to such agreements.

Our ADVICE IS PROVIDED AT PARTNER LEVEL OR BY OUR IN HOUSE EMPLOYMENT BARRISTER KEVIN HARRIS.

A NUMBER OF POINTS IN RELATION TO SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS;-

a) these are usually drafted very one sided in favour of the employer, and the wording will require amendment- if the client so wishes

b) we will look at the settlement package on offer, and advise if the client in our view should endeavour to negotiate a better package - we will undertake such negotiations with the employer if the client so wishes

c) non compete covenants should be reviewed- and if necessary required to be waived to permit the client to work for a competitor after the termination of the employment.

We can also advise and assist in relation to all types of employment law.

b) raising work related grievances
